Use some time through November to look up various holiday events happening around you. Some places may even be advertising December dates now, too.
Start putting some dates on your calendar for parades, special Santa visits, and even some crafting events at stores.
It might be easier to put some dates into your phone calendar. That way, if you find out about an event while you’re out, you can add it, or you can confirm whether or not you can attend.
The other thing to start thinking about with your holiday dates is your goals for the holiday. Set your own deadlines for having things done when you want them done! If you know you have family gatherings mid December and want to bring some desserts, plan your time so that you can start baking over the next couple weeks and stock your freezer so there’s no last minute panic. Add an event to your calendar of each recipe so that you don’t have to bake it all at once!
If you want holiday cards to be mailed out by a certain date, put it on your calendar with maybe a reminder a week sooner.
Have the kids write their Santa letters, then look up the deadline for sending them out and add it on the calendar! Or simply assign yourself a send date on your calendar.
Plan out all the things you want to accomplish for the holidays, it will definitely keep you more on top of things so that you can really enjoy and relax over the holidays!
The more you can visualize your time restrictions, the better you can use the time you have, productively!
