Talk about next year’s Christmas

While this year is fresh in your mind, spend some time with the family and talk about what made this year special. Ask your kids what they liked best and what they didn’t like at all. Think about Christmas events or holiday parties. Are the kids too old for them now? Are there different ones they’d like to try? Maybe there are traditions you think they love, but they are not interested in anymore.

As you wrap up your festivities for this year, talk it all out. Come up with a short list of favourite events to participate in and favourite things to do. Use that list to write down some notes to make next year another year to remember!

Sometimes, focusing your energy on just a few really fun traditions is enough to keep the magic, rather than spreading so thin trying to do it all. It can be exhausting to keep up with all the things you are ‘supposed’ to do with your family over the holidays.

Pick the best of the best, and go all in!

Thanks for coming home!
