This is the time to go through your own self reflection and decide what hobbies you are done with, which ones still give you a sense of fulfillment, and which ones you might want to start!
The summer is a great time to go through your hobby supplies and reflect on how you want to spend your time come September. With new course registrations coming up, it’s a good time to look into calendars and schedules and see what new things you want to try.
Also, the summer is a great time to sort through those supplies from hobbies that you might want to say goodbye to. Hobbies are one of those things that make it easier to find an excuse to acquire stuff! I mean, it supports the craft or the activity, so it’s fine to stock up, right? This means that it’s easy to realize that you just have more stuff than you can realistically use.
Go through any bins that have supplies from hobbies you used to do and decide if you are ever going to get back to it. Be honest with yourself! Holding on to bits and pieces can use up a lot of necessary space. Space that could be put to better use!
Take your time and really go through your stuff. Or, if you’re ready to say goodbye to a certain hobby, just up and get rid of it all! You can try selling it all or give it all to someone else that you know will enjoy the hobby!
The reality is that if you’re not using it, it’s time to get rid of it!
Rethink your hobbies and figure out how to best use your time. Focus on what you really enjoy! Time for your own fun is limited, so make sure you fill it with something you love!
