Ok Clutter Bugs! Here is a clutter challenge for you!
This week is the first week back at school for my kiddos! And I am excited to reclaim some of my home!! What better way to do it than with a simple one week challenge to kick off the school year?!
For you stay at home moms, I know you can rock this week. You probably can’t wait to get some alone time or quieter time in your home!
For those returning to work, the challenge might be a bit harder to conquer this week, but I know you can do it, even if you’re tired at the end of the day! For those who have been working all along, this may seem like just part of your normal routine.
Here it is!!
Monday – for me, the Monday is a holiday, so I technically start my week on Tuesday, but Monday will be vacuuming day. Vacuum as many spots in the house as you can without moving too much stuff around. The idea is to be quick here!
Tuesday – toilets and bathroom counters. Zip around to all your bathrooms and quickly clean them all up! Tidy things, declutter things, and make a list of anything that needs replacing like soap, toilet paper, etc.
Wednesday – kitchen counters! Clear off at least one section of your counter. Do your whole counter if you can! Put things away properly or get rid of things.
Thursday – clean up the front hall. You may find you are already getting some school related things building up in the front hall. Declutter in as speedy a way as you can! As the kids try on different shoes before heading out the door, set aside the ones that are too small!
Friday – you’re almost there!! Friday is about thinking ahead to next week. Make a meal plan, make a grocery list, make a lunch requirement list, or make a back to school list. Anything that you needed this week, make sure you have it next week. Head out for an afternoon of blitz shopping so you can spend the weekend at a slower pace so you can all recover over the weekend!
You did it!!!!
A whole week of challenges! It wasn’t that bad, right?? It’s not meant to be overly thorough. It’s more about just getting some stuff done!! Again, if you’re working, get the rest of the family helping out! Who says we moms have to do it all, right?
Stay tuned for more of these one week challenges in the future!
