Make decluttering an exciting and beautiful part of your daily life!

To make decluttering a true daily habit, keep a donation box handy. It doesn’t have to be some ugly paper box sitting in the front hall. Instead, find a fancy hamper, a nice-looking large laundry basket, or decorate a garbage can to fit the decor of the home.

Whatever you use, make sure that it’s something that is beautiful enough that you do look at it when you enter the room. Every time you walk into that room or any room, find something that you can add to that beautiful bin.

Having easy access to a donate bin means that it is easier to make a quick decision to get rid of something. (Pro tip: line your donate bin with a bag of some kind. Then, when you have a full bin, you can simply pull out the bag and take it to a donation centre. The bag is great because then you don’t have to re-look at anything as you move it from your bin to a bag or box to donate it. Sometimes, that’s when it can be tempting to actually keep the things we have already decided to get rid of.

Creating a regular donate bin that everyone has easy access to, is a way easier way to make quick decisions about whether or not to truly keep something. If you decide to donate it, simply place it in your beautiful bin and get rid of it because it’s not useful to you anymore.

If you know clutter is an issue in your home, you could even have multiple donate bins in places where clutter seems to add up. Again, having a known place to put things that you have decided you don’t need, means that the clutter doesn’t have a chance to build up in a way that makes the whole house seem like a mess. As soon as you run out of space in your bin, pack it into the car and take it right to a donation centre. There’s no sense in letting all that stuff linger in your home.

Create a clutter fighting system that makes your beautiful life easier to live and enjoy!

Thanks for coming home!
