It always comes down to health and fitness

If you feel like your mood is slipping and your motivation to do anything is slipping with it, remind yourself how important health and physical activity are!

Pick one small thing that you can do right now that is related to healthy food or exercise. Better yet, make a list of easy things you can do for your health or fitness.

The more simple, the better! In fact, make it crazy simple! Like, actually stupid simple! It will be so much more enjoyable to actually do the things! Small tweaks to some of the choices that you make throughout your day can change your mood for the whole week!

Think of things like:
Go for a 5-minute walk around the block
Cook yourself an egg for breakfast
Eat a raw fruit or veggie
Chug a glass of water
Go to a park and swing on the swings
Do an extra set of stairs in your house

You can literally pick something so simple that it makes you want to do it because it’s so easy to get it done!! Doing it makes you feel better about yourself because not only is it good for your health, but it also makes you feel like you’ve accomplished something in the day!

The more of the little things that you can do in your day, the more it will boost your mood and make you feel better about yourself with each and every thing that you do! To get a bigger boost, double it the next time you do that thing!

If you’re feeling miserable and have no motivation to get things done and you just keep on procrastinating, create a crazy simple list of tiny things you could do for yourself. Like I said in the list above, it can be as simple as eating one raw fruit or veggie! Make your list easy and, dare I say, exciting to cross a few things off!

It can even be something like blasting your favourite song and dancing like a maniac!

Put at least five things on your list, commit to doing one each day for a week, and see how you feel at the end of the week. Think about how you feel at the end of the week compared to the week before!

Any time that you are feeling low, just do one of the things from your list! Keep your list handy, maybe even on your phone. Make an alert on your phone so that it shows you your list every hour or at least a few times per day. If you don’t want to rely on your tech, write the list on paper and stick it to the fridge or beside your computer screen so that you can see it calling you! Do something from the list, even if the only way you are doing it is by forcing yourself to get up off the couch or to walk away from your work for a couple of minutes!

Give yourself that much needed break, 5-10 minutes is all you need! You will feel better after doing it!

Thanks for coming home!
