Collections can be tricky to deal with when trying to declutter your home. The best way to deal with a collection that you love is to find a creative way to really show it off. If you display it, then others can enjoy it too! It’s also a great conversation starter!!

There are some really interesting ways to show off your things. You can use a special display box, a clear vase (assuming the collection won’t break itself if it’s all stacked in a vase), or use a fancy shelf!

I have seen some awesome ways to show things off!

I have seen people put their collection of shells into a fish aquarium. Even if they don’t have fish! Others have glued their shells to canvas and turned it into large wall art.

I have also seen people hang their musical instruments on the walls! Ok, maybe a little harder for a piano! It works well for brass, wind, and stringed instruments.

If you like watches, you could hang them on the wall too!

A lot of people collect pins, badges, or stickers from their travels. A great way to show them off is to hang a large bulletin board and slowly add to the ‘art’ as you cross more destinations off your list!

As you declutter and if you come across old collections, think about how you can show them off. There is no sense having a collection of things you love shoved away in a box!

Put them on display!

It’s important to enjoy them! Enjoy looking at them and talking about them! If you’re not willing to have your collection on display, maybe it’s time to donate your collection to someone who will cherish it and show it off with pride!
