Stick to your plan, don’t wait for the feeling!

I love this picture! It’s a poster that I bought for my home gym, but I am actually tempted to hang it in my bathroom or right by the coffee machine!

If we always wait until we feel ready or for when the conditions are just perfect, we will never accomplish our goals!

If you really want to smash your goals out of the park, you just need to stick to your plan or as close to your plan as you possibly can!

If we give in to our feelings, we eliminate so many opportunities to get even just a little bit done anyway. If we give in to our excuses, then we will never achieve our dreams. You just need to do it, no matter what!

There’s nothing that says it has to be perfect every time, but if you stick as closely to you plan as you can then even if you do half of it, it’s still better than letting your fatigue take over! Heck, everyone is tired these days, it seems.

The hardest part of actually working toward any goal is putting the true effort in on a daily or at least weekly basis. If you put in true effort, then you can do things you thought were impossible or that you would never have time to finish. Putting in true bits of effort means that even if you are tired, or even if it’s late or early, or even if you’re scared, you can still put some effort into doing the real work to get your goals met.

So, if it’s decluttering, you can still declutter your whole house! You just need a plan that you can follow daily or weekly. You just need to break down the bigger tasks into small bits and just keep plugging away. You just have to keep on going! No matter what excuses or feelings are standing in your way.

If it’s fitness, just move your body! The goal doesn’t have to be climbing Mount Everest. But even if it is, you’re not going to get there by giving up on your training because it’s too cold or too hot or raining. You gotta do what you can. If you’re sick, go for a short walk around the house instead. If you’re tired, do some yoga. The idea is that you can still do something, no matter what.

So whatever your goals are, you won’t get there if you give in to your excuses. Create a solid plan and break it down with small, easy to do bits. Don’t give in to your feelings or emotions. No matter what they are, just do it anyway! We all have feelings holding us back!
