Create a ‘back on track’ list for those times you have steered away from your goals

You know those days where everything seems to be happening all at once and there is no way to get any progress done on the things you want to get done!?

You know those days when you have just returned home from a getaway and now there are a million and one things to do, on top of the normal million things to do!?

Sometimes it feels like it takes more than a week to recover when your routine has been thrown off! Even more, once you’re overwhelmed like this it takes even more energy and motivation to just get started on your list!

Make yourself a printed list to get yourself back on track!

It could have just one thing on your list! Find something that truly routes you into your routine! Pick something that really makes you feel like you’ve done something in the right direction.

For me it is usually tidying the kitchen or the front hall. It could even be cleaning the toilets. Just make sure it is something that makes you say, “ok, that’s done, now I can breath relief and move on to the next thing!”

You don’t even need another thing on your ‘back on track’ list. Just doing the one thing can give you that little push or that little release of dopamine that you can cross off something else or at least get started on something else.

It’s literally meant to be a short list that gives you that tiny push in the right direction. It’s that one first step when you feel like you can’t do it.

Watch and see if it spirals into more action when you’re done!

Thanks for coming home!
