Declutter your walls

Have you ever thought about how cluttered your walls are?

If you want big impact with minimal work declutter your walls!

It may sound strange but changing your pictures, taking down art, even decluttering or removing a bulletin board can have a very visual effect on how cluttered your house looks and feels.

Even hooks with keys or random stuff like hats or weird lanyards from some giveaway or swag bag from who knows how long ago can add a lot of clutter to your home.

Think about your wall calendar too. Do you have stuff all around it like pencils or pens? Do you have post it notes or school papers stacked up with pins or magnets? Declutter the calendar or command centre so that everyone can see it and use it more easily. That way reminders will actually remind you of what you need to do rather than get filtered out because it’s just background clutter!

Think about anything that is on your walls! Even switches and outlets. If they are starting to look sad or sun stained, change them out! A few dollars spent and a few minutes of time can make the whole room feel better!

You could even consider changing out things like any wall lights.

Remember that change is possible! Just because something has always been there doesn’t mean it needs to stay there! Changing up your walls can change the feel of the room.

You could even take it one step further and paint your walls to freshen them up! Again, a bit of money and time and you can feel like you have a whole new room, even a whole new house!

Examine your walls. Stand at your front door and really look at your walls. Maybe take a picture from various vantage points so that you can see it as an outsider would, rather than from the point of view of living in it. It’s amazing how pictures really remove you from your space and help you see it the way visitors would.

Make some easy drastic changes and do something about your walls!

Thanks for coming home!
