A big impact 10 minute closet blitz!

Sometimes my closet goes berserk! I swear it spits out clothes all by itself! Everything seems fine for a while, then suddenly I can’t even see the floor!

OMG!!

I decided that I needed to dig my way back to seeing the floor!

I set my timer, and I just stuck with it! I didn’t even pause to take a progress picture. I sorted the dirty clothes, I hung up the clean clothes, and I tossed a bunch of clothes into a donate pile! I just didn’t stop!

I have to admit, it looks a bit better now, don’t you think?

I didn’t think I would get as much done as I did, but a timer can really push your butt in gear! Often, we need a bit of pressure on our time to make us really work hard or feel that sense of urgency to finish a project. Even just 10 minutes of active time can make a huge difference in no matter what you want to achieve!

Again, it doesn’t have to be perfect when the timer is up. The point is just to work hard for a short period of time. It’s like a sprint when running – it sucks, but you know that you can power through because you know it will be over soon! If I had given myself all day to work on it, I would have probably let that take more than an hour, and yet, 10 minutes was all I actually needed. Another 10 minutes another day, and still, I am way further ahead of where I was with that heaping mess!

What can you do in 10 minutes?

Thanks for coming home!

    • Right?? 10 minutes always seems like such an inconsequential amount of time. So many people just pull out their phone and kill that amount of time. But really, there’s so much that can be done in just 10 minutes!! Thanks for the comment!
