The January cooking challenge!
After a little indulgence over the holidays (and with some resolutions in the back of your mind), you might need a food and spending reset!
For the next 30 days, eat all of your meals at home!
What does that mean exactly?
No restaurants, no coffee out, no snacks out! Essentially, no food or drinks that are not made in your home or at the home of others!
Can you do it??
It’s going to be hard! You’re going to want to give in! But stick with it!
If you tend to grab a Starbucks on your way to work – get up a bit earlier and brew your coffee at home! If an afternoon ‘pick me up’ is what you crave, consider using a coffee machine at work. I find most places now have some kind of easy pod coffee maker. Bring pods from home to satisfy that afternoon cup!
If you tend to pop out for that morning sweet treat, like a muffin or donut – look up some recipes and get baking on the weekends. It really doesn’t take that long to bake your own treats!
If you tend to stop at that fast food place on the way to this or that with the kids after school – take a bit of time to make and pack some sandwiches and protein bars!
It’s a great way to kick off the new year! You will feel so great at the end of the month.
