Week 5: The Master Bedroom

Hopefully by now, you are starting to feel like you have more control over your space and your mind. You are the boss of your life and I hope this process is teaching you that!

Week 5 is all about finding peace in your sleeping space!

Walk into your master bedroom and have a quick look around at the surfaces. Are they cluttered? Are they dusty? Are they piled high with clothes?

This is your chance to turn your bedroom into your sleep sanctuary!

Start by clearing off all of the surfaces. The nightstands, the dressers, and any other shelves or surfaces you have in your room. You could even remove actual furniture too!

Then, focus on the floor. Clear clutter from the corners of the room, behind the door, the space beside the bed and even under the bed!

The less stuff you have in your room, the more you can simply focus on sleeping and feeling calm and at peace as you drift off to sleep.

The other thing to consider as you remove clutter from your space is how you might want to change the decor or even the colour. You can make a huge difference to a room by removing clutter and painting the walls. It can feel like you just did a huge renovation to the room! And it’s so worth it if it means you falling asleep sooner and staying asleep longer.

Aside from the kitchen, you likely spend more time in your bedroom than any other space in your house. Don’t make it a storage room, make it a bedroom!

Thanks for coming home!
