If not now, then never!

If you enthusiastically start going through your stuff looking to find stuff you no longer want, you may start inadvertently creating a huge maybe pile.

This pile of maybe stuff is likely stuff you won’t use any time soon. But, just to make sure, try my “if not now, then never” trick.

Here’s how it works. I’m sure you’ve been tirelessly going through the kitchen stuff…since the Kick the clutter for February challenge is underway, so I bet you have a few items you’re not sure if they’re worth holding on to.

Leave it all out!!

Leave it in your way! If by the end of a week it’s driving you crazy AND you still have not come up with a functional reason to keep it, then it’s time to get rid of it!

If the stuff is in your space and in your way and you can’t think of a reason to keep it, then it’s not worth keeping. It will stay in your space and in your way even in the drawer or cupboard you pulled it from.

Live instead with purpose and function in mind. If you have a good use for a random kitchen tool, then great! Keep it! If you can’t come with a reason to keep it and it hardly gets used, you’re better off without it!

It’s amazing what you’re willing to tolerate when it’s tucked in a drawer. Leave it in your way, and you’ll come up with a plan for it pretty darn quick!

Thanks for coming home!

  1. Such a great idea for clearing out some drawer space and making it easier to access the stuff you really use. Going to try it.
