Ok, so I am officially two weeks into the challenge, and I have to say, it is indeed hard. BUT, it is meant to be!
I admit that I haven’t always been true to the challenge, but over the last few days I can sense a change in my own body and heart that makes me even more committed now than in the beginning. I have missed a couple of workouts since starting the challenge, and there have been days when I haven’t been able to drink all the water. But I sense that shift. The shift in a new routine or habit where everything just clicks.
Where intention meets action, and everything starts to align towards the goal!
I was going to wait until I was halfway through the challenge to give an update, but instead decided to do it now. Two weeks in, and for the last 3 days I have been practicing to the full extent of the challenge. I am feeling great! I do highly recommend the challenge for everyone!
Like I said in my previous post about it, it doesn’t mean that you need to be dripping sweat for 1.5 hours (in order to complete the two 45 min workouts). It just needs to be something active! I have been doing one day of weights followed by a day of yoga. The outside workouts have been fast walking so far (and shoveling all of our snow!!)
Next week, it’s jumping up to a run with some lengthy cool downs and adding a bit more intensity to some of the other workouts.
This challenge being 75 days long means there’s a bit of time to practice the habit and fail a bit. I have done lots of 30 day challenges, and sometimes missing a day or two can feel like you’ve missed out on a big chunk of the time. 75 days offers a nice couple of weeks to ease in and wrap your head around the new rules, and now, with 60 days left, I can really maximize the challenge.
Focusing on healthy eating (the whole no cheats rule) and upping the amount of active time (2 x 45 min workouts) is bound to have some good consequences, especially if you love sugar and aren’t very active!
So, in case you missed my other post about the challenge and the rules, follow this link! Give it a try! At the very least, it gives you a chance to learn more about yourself!
Very inspiring challenge. I’m looking forward to the next up-date. You have such a great attitude about it.
